President Moon Jae-in says the inter-Korean summit declaration reached two years ago today must be implemented,... expressing hope that the clock starts ticking again for the two Koreas.
Via social media on Saturday to mark the second anniversary of the Pyeongyang Declaration,... Moon reaffirmed South Korea's firm determination for peace.
The president said that the implementation has been slow as the two Koreas haven't been able to overcome internal and external constraints.
He recalled the inter-Korean summit in September 2018 when he and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un pledged denuclearization and peace on the Korean Peninsula saying that it was precious progress... made possible due to the people's hope and support from the international community.
There's been little progress in the peace process since the no-deal Hanoi summit between North Korea and the U.S. in 2019.
