Are agriculture bills anti-farmer or reformist?

The Lok Sabha on Thursday passed two bills related to the agriculture sector that have triggered much controversy in the country with farmers being apprehensive that the bills will overlook their interests.

The bills were deemed as passed by the Lok Sabha after the Opposition didn't seek voting on any clause related to the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020 and the Farmers' Produce Trade and commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020.

However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has hit out at the Opposition and Congress over the controversy surrounding the 3 farm bills taken up in Parliament. PM Narendra Modi said the political parties are spreading lies on the farm bills and these are historic moves that will benefit the farmers.

India Today TV's Preeti Chaudhary speaks to Pawan Khera from Congress and RP Singh from BJP to shed some light on both sides of the issue.
