Indian hospital installs robot to help Covid-19 patients connect with family

A hospital in India has deployed a robot to connect Covid-19 patients with their loved ones. A tablet is installed to robot Mitra’s chest so that the patients can speak to their families and friends through video calls. It is also equipped with facial recognition technology in its eyes, which enables it to recall people it has previously interacted with.
