Actually, the matter is in April 1950 when Satyajit Ray went to England with his wife. He used to work in a foreign advertising company during that time. The company sent him to the head office for six months. The company management felt that when Ray came back, he would have been fully adept at making tea and biscuits advertisements. But this was not a casual journey. The trip to England brought a big twist to Ray's life.
