Artist draws lifelike portraits using only one color
  • 4 years ago
Derin Fletcher is an artist who draws lifelike monochromatic portraits. Before she starts a portrait, Derin draws a color study to see which shades blend well together. She then sketches the face with a colored pencil and sands it with sandpaper to add texture. Then, she'll start shading in the face very lightly. Derin will add more pressure as she goes to create more detail. The finished portraits have three layers of color.
