Algeria is the second largest wine producer in Africa, but the sector has recently been hit hard by the Covid lockdown, unpredictable weather patterns, and mildew outbreaks. Vintners are facing their worst season in decades as they call on the government to suspend a lockdown ban on alcohol distribution and restart the economy.
