Firefighters in eastern China tore down part of a wall to free five people trapped in a lift on September 15.

The video, filmed in the city of Hefei in Anhui Province, shows firefighters using tools to open a hole on the wall and then carrying people out from the lift one-by-one.

According to reports, the residential community had a power cut causing the lift to stop in between the first and second floor.

Fortunately, five people were all rescued successfully.
