The so-called Superbowl of Diplomacy, the United Nations General Assembly, kicks off this week.
But for the first time in history, it will be held online due to the coronavirus pandemic.
U.S. President Donald Trump will be the only in-person speaker at the venue in New York.
Other member states will have pre-recorded speeches aired... with one or two national envoys to the UN present at the venue.
High-level officials are unlikely to travel to New York, as the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has notified that... delegates of countries with travel advisory levels two or three should go through a mandatory 14-day quarantine...with no exceptions.
Over 90-percent of all UN member states are at levels two or three.
The General Debate, which is the highlight of the annual session, will begin on the 22nd of September, with the main topics centering on multilateralism and COVID-19.
South Korean President Moon Jae-in is to speak on the very first day.
As the 9th speaker, Moon is to introduce how South Korea is dealing with COVID-19 and call for stronger international cooperation to fight the virus.
From North Korea, it's expected that Kim Song, who chairs North Korea's delegation to the UN, is to speak... on the 29th.
This year's talking points are expected to range from COVID-19 to the Middle East and North Korea.
South Korea is to speak on the 21st as the chair of MIKTA countries... and host a ministerial-level conference of the UN's friends group on health security on the 23rd.
