Calls for revision of the Cannabis for Private Purposes Bill

South Africans are being urged to make submission to Parliament, for revisions to the Cannabis for Private Purposes Bill. The South African Drug Policy Initiative says the bill as it stand doesn't reflect the spirit of the 2018 Constitutional Court ruling. That court declared unconstitutional the legislation criminalising the use, possession, and cultivation of cannabis for private use. The Initiative's chairperson, Dr Keith Scott, shares more on this.
