트럼프 "미군 지도부, 방산업체와 한통속"

It's time now for our Wednesday edition of Arirang's 'The World Now'. I'm Kim Jae-hee.
We begin with accusations from U.S. President Donald Trump against the leadership of the country's military.
President Trump said on Monday that top military leaders want to keep waging wars in order to keep defense contractors "happy".
"I'm not saying the military is in love with me. The soldiers are. The top people in the Pentagon probably aren't because they want to do nothing but fight wars so that all of those wonderful companies that make the bombs and make the planes and make everything else stay happy."
The President's remarks followed his efforts to convince the public that he had not made offensive comments about U.S. military personnel and veterans... the news that had drawn much controversy after it was first reported by The Atlantic magazine.
With this latest remark, U.S. media outlets are reporting that relations between the President and Pentagon leadership that were already strained, are likely to further deteriorate.
