Facebook on Wednesday said it remains committed to be an open and transparent platform, and allow people to express themselves freely on the platform amid a raging row over the social media giant's alleged political bias. The comments came hours after its India Head of Facebook Ajit Mohan appeared before the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology that is looking into alleged misuse of social media platforms.

सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी से जुड़ी संसदीय स्थायी समिति ने बुधवार को फेसबुक इंडिया के प्रबंध निदेशक अजित मोहन से दो घण्टे से भी ज़्यादा सवाल जवाब किया. अमेरिकी अख़बार वॉल स्ट्रीट जर्नल में ख़बर छपने के बाद फेसबुक के प्रतिनिधियों को समिति ने सवाल जवाब के लिए तलब किया था. समय के अभाव में फेसबुक के प्रतिनिधियों से सवाल जवाब पूरा नहीं हो सका और इसलिए उन्हें फिर से बुलाने का फ़ैसला किया गया है.
