It is believed that during Pitru Paksha our ancestors or ancestors come to visit us on earth and give us their blessings. But there are many kinds of perceptions among the people about fatherhood. पित- पक्ष के दौरान हमारे पितृ या पूर्वज धरती पर हमसे मिलने आते हैं और हमें अपना आशीर्वाद देते हैं. लेकिन पितृपक्ष को लेकर लोगों में कई तरह की धारणाएं भी हैं. जैसे इन 14 दिनों की अवधि को अशुभ माना जाता है और इस समय कोई शुभ कार्य नहीं करना चाहिए, कुछ नया नहीं खरीदना चाहिए, ब्रह्मचर्य का पालन करना चाहिए, मांस मछली नहीं खाना चाहिए आदि.
