Roads were flooded in Bangkok, Thailand, this morning (September 1) after rain storms caused flash floods.

Footage from across the city shows how motorists stuck in traffic jams had to crawl through the deluge, which was up to 30cm deep in places.

Bangkok was hit with lightning, thunder and heavy rain during the night, soaking chaos with floods in the morning.

Thailand and other countries in Southeast Asia such as Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines are at the height of their annual rainy season, which often sees torrential downpours and flash floods.
