Chadwick Boseman was referred to as "the next Denzel Washington". CNN reports Denzel was also the first one to remember Boseman as a "gentle soul." Washington released a statement to several outlets including "Entertainment Tonight". His statement paid tribute to Boseman who died last week at the age of 43 years old. Boseman died after a four-year battle with colon cancer, which was kept from the public. He will be remembered fondly for his portraits on the big screen, including Black Panther.
