Let's start off with a deadly shooting in the U.S. city of Portland, where peaceful demonstrations and sometimes violent riots have been ongoing for nearly three months.
One person was shot dead in Portland on Saturday night local time, as supporters of President Trump clashed with Black Lives Matter protesters.
The man who was killed was reportedly white, and wearing a hat with the insignia of Patriot Prayer, a right-wing group that has clashed with Portland protesters in the past.
According to witnesses, gunshots were heard and then police medics arrived to try and save the victim.
Following the incident, President Trump, in a series of tweets, said the Portland Mayor is a "fool" and urged the deployment of the National Guard to the city.
