The U.S. has accused the Russian military of making an "unsafe" intercept of a U.S. Air Force bomber, that was flying over the Black Sea last Friday.
U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa says two Russian aircraft flew within 30-meters of the B-52, causing turbulence.
It slammed Russia, saying these actions were "unsafe and unprofessional".
Earlier, Russia's Defense Ministry had said the U.S. bomber was approaching the Russian border, and it only sent the two fighter jets to identify the air target.
It added everything was in strict accordance with international rules.
