The Shivraj government of Madhya Pradesh has made huge cuts in the budget of cows. Recently, the Madhya Pradesh government has allocated a budget of Rs 11 crore for the cows of its state. Earlier, in the last financial year, the government had kept the budget of Animal Husbandry Department at Rs 132 crore. At the same time, almost 90 percent of the bowl has been cut this year, on which politics in the state is hot. The Congress has demanded the Shivraj government to increase the budget of cows.

मध्य प्रदेश की राजनीति में गाय और गौशाला बड़ा मुद्दा है. चुनावों में गाय और गौशाला को लेकर बड़े-बड़े वादे किए जाते हैं. वहीं सरकार के बनते ही कोई भी इन मूक पशुओं की ओर नहीं देखता है. उप चुनाव से एक बार फिर से गाय और गौशाला को लेकर प्रदेश की राजनीति गरमागई है. दरअसल, मध्य प्रदेश की शिवराज सरकार ने गायों के बजट में बहुत बड़ी कटौती कर दी है. शिवराज सरकार ने गायों के लिए 11 करोड़ रुपए का बजट का आवंटन किया है. इससे पहले पिछले वित्तीय वर्ष में सरकार ने पशुपालन विभाग का बजट 132 करोड़ रूपए रखा था.
