Black River swelling with plastic waste

The Black River in Cape Town is in a dire state and swelling with a bulk of plastic waste. The situation was worsened by the recent heavy rain around the city. This led to a group of people gathering over the weekend to clean up. Chris Krauss, Chairperson and Co-Founder for Sea The Bigger Picture, is one of the environmental organisations involved.
