ANC denies high-level committee deployment

The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal denies that former eThekwini Mayor Zandile Gumede will chair the Cooperative Governance portfolio committee. Last week Gumede, who is facing corruption charges, was sworn in as a member of the legislature. The ANC says Gumede is just an ordinary member, for now.
