A hero worker leapt from his seat to stop a baby's head from hitting the ground.

Supachai Sukhjan, the baby's saviour, was talking with colleagues when he noticed that the his head was falling backwards.

He sprang into a action and dived across the floor of their office meeting room of the delivery firm in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand on August 17.

Supachai, 23, slid across the tiled flood and caught the 18-month-old baby's head just in time to stop it from hitting the hard ground.

He said: "We were just having a meeting and out of nowhere this happened. I couldn't believe I did that myself. It was an instinctive reactione. I was just concerned for the baby.''

The baby was unharmed while the thankful parents of the baby, whose father works at the same company, were relieved that he was not hurt.

The dad said that his colleague Supachai should be given a promotion.

He said: ''Saving babies can be added to his skill set.''
