Independent schools are appealing to government to provide them with COVID-19 relief funds. The National Alliance of Independent Schools Association says many parents are unable to pay school fees as a result of job losses and salary cuts. The schools are now left with no option but to retrench some staff to stay afloat. Mandla Mthembu, chairperson of the association speaks on this.
