Indonesia's Mount Sinabung continues to spew volcanic ash into sky

The volcanic Mount Sinabung in the Karo Regency, North Sumatra has erupted several times today (August 24).

Footage shows the eruption with what is estimated as a 500-metre ash column.

The volcanic mountain has erupted many times over the last month prompting warnings for local residents.

Residents have been warned to stay at least three miles from the volcano due to a risk of flowing lava.
