अमेरिकी अखबार वॉल स्ट्रीट जर्नल में फेसबुक को लेकर एक रिपोर्ट प्रकाशित होने के बाद से भारत की राजनीति में बवाल मच गया है. कांग्रेस के पूर्व अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी ने बीजेपी पर बड़ा हमला बोला है और कहा है कि बीजेपी और आरएसएस ने फेसबुक और वॉट्सऐप पर कब्जा कर लिया है. विवाद को देखते हुए सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मामलों की संसदीय स्थायी समिति के अध्यक्ष कांग्रेस नेता शशि थरूर ने फेसबुक से जवाब मांगा है, जिस पर बीजेपी ने नाराजगी जताई है. बीजेपी के सदस्यों ने आरोप लगाया है कि थरूर ने बिना किसी चर्चा के बैठक का एजेंडा भी तय कर लिया है जो सही नहीं है. अब इस पूरे विवाद के बीच टीएमसी सांसद मुहआ मोइत्रा ने शशि थरूर का समर्थन किया है.
