Dhoni announced his international retirement on Saturday, sauntering into the sunset as India’s most successful captain in the shorter formats, with the World Cup, the ICC Champions Trophy and World T20 titles in his bag. Former BCCI president N Srinivasan has revealed he exercised his rights as the board's chief to save MS Dhoni from getting sacked as captain of the Indian team in 2011/12. Srinivasan's revelations came a day after Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket.
