Calf born with two legs in the Philippines
  • 4 years ago
This is the moment veterinarians check a newborn buffalo calf that looked like a kangaroo having only two hind legs.

The young bull named Primo was born healthy despite its deformity in Sultan Kudarat, the Philippines on July 27.

In the video taken a few days later, vets visited the strange calf that had started to attract attention from neighbours.

Some people on the farming village think that Primo is a lucky charm so they ask to enter the farmer's yard and take selfies with it.

However, vet Eduard said that the calf is not as lucky as it will need special care from the farmer to survive.

He said: "The calf is being bottle-fed by the owner because it could not walk on its own to its mother."

But Eduard added that it is possible for the calf to live a normal life with the help of tools.

The owner is now appealing for help to build a customised wheelchair for the calf so it can stand on its own.

The Philippine Carabao Center-USM Kabacan team have already collected blood samples from the calf and sent it to Manila for examination to determine the cause of the deformity.
