Women and child rights groups want China to revoke travel ban for mother and son

Cheng Chau Yang, a Malaysian living in Shanghai with her eight-year-old son, has been banned by a Shanghai court from travelling out of China since October 2015, on request of her ex-husband. Local women and child rights groups and Wanita MCA are backing Cheng’s family appeal to top leaders in China and Malaysia to intervene and lift the mother and son’s travel ban.
