Logging Blockade Aid

The Temiar aborigines running the logging blockade near Gua Musang, Malaysia since September have been helped by aid groups who've been bringing weekly supplies to the more than 200 people there, and to some of the villages nearby. Because of the constant work at the blockade, the Temiar cannot go back to their homes in the Balah forest reserve to grow their crops or to actively look for food. Traders who used to come to the forest have stopped coming in since a government checkpoint was set up a few kilometres away from the blockade, the Temiar say.
