During the forum on political financing reforms organised by non-profit group G25 on Saturday, political analyst Dr Wong Chin Huat said political parties should rely on public funding in order to have transparency instead of abusing government funds and machinery.

Dr Wong also said political funding by the public will not only curb corruption but will also facilitate productive multiparty competition.
