Merdeka brings luck to iconic bakery

Famous for its roti bengali, Merdeka Bakery was lucky enough to snag the much coveted word for its premises back in 1957. Its founder Muthalif Peer Mohd reckons the auspicious word has brought the premises good fortune through the years.
