Heritage conservation is one of the concerns raised by Citizens Awareness Chant Group over a proposed project to create a “medical city” on a 3ha land in Pulau Tikus, Penang. Citing a double-storey bungalow in Peel Avenue that will be demolished for the project as an example, he stressed that heritage conservation in Penang should be the priority instead of bringing in foreign direct investment.
