Uniqlo launched its first modest wear line, Uniqlo x Hana Tajima Collection, in July this year. The collaboration between the Japanese high street brand and the UK-born, New York-based fashion blogger and designer Hana Tajima produced a collection that featured hijab headscarves and innerwear, as well as demure styled jeans, blouses and dresses.

In this Star2.com Exclusive, we talked with Tajima and her muse (also the face of the campaign), Malaysian pop singer-songwriter Yuna, about their inspiration for the collection, hair care tips for hijabsters, and the debate over the hijab as a fashion statement. “Your decision to wear the hijab is very personal.
