In a pyramid scheme, ‘Peter is robbed to pay Paul’, and that seems to be the case with the grocery scheme Up Money. The National Prosecuting Authority is laying criminal charges of fraud and contraventions of various sections of the Prevention of Organised Crime Act directly labeling Up Money a pyramid scheme.
