Fitch Ratings lowers N. Korea's 2020 growth forecast by 2.5 percentage points to -8.5%

Fitch Ratings has lowered its 2020 growth forecast for the North Korean economy by two-and-a-half percentage points to minus-eight-point-five percent.
In February, the ratings agency had forecast growth of three-point-seven percent, but revised that down to minus-six-percent in May following the COVID-19 outbreak.
Citing its report, Voice of America said Fitch took into consideration the continued international sanctions on the regime, growing global uncertainties and an economic slump in China, the North's largest trading partner.
