Huge mass migration of Tibetan antelopes seen in China’s Tibet autonomous region

Tibetan antelopes, also known as chiru, typically migrate from late June to mid July each year. Chinese researchers spotted over 60,000 of the animals during their 2020 study of wildlife and habitat areas. The herd was spotted in the Qiangtang National Reserve, the biggest terrestrial wild animal protection zone in Asia. The scientists say the herd was the largest seen in the area since 2013.
