At least 19 were killed after an Air India Express flight with over 190 passengers and crew members onboard skidded off the tabletop runway at the Kozhikode International airport in Kerala, also known as the Karipur Airport, on Friday evening. Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that the flight, on its way from Dubai to Kozhikode, overshot the runway in rainy conditions and went down 35 ft into a slope before breaking up into two pieces.
