SA Breweries cancel capital and infrastructure upgrades

South African Breweries has cancelled 2.5 billion in capital and infrastructure upgrades for 2020, and is reviewing another 2.5 billion in planned investments for next year. It’s a massive blow to the economy. The company says it is a direct result of the ongoing alcohol sales ban that is threatening the livelihoods of over 100,000 people. SAB’s finance vice-president Andrew Murray speaks on this decision.
