Kishore Kumar Birthday: किशोर कुमार की सदाबहार आवाज़ पर जब लगा था 'आपातकाल' | Boldsky

Observing the anniversary of Emergency that was imposed 43 years ago in 1975, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, at a BJP event in Mumbai, said popular singer Kishore Kumar was blacklisted from the All India Radio as the latter wold not perform at the Congress event. Modi said India still refer to June 26 as a "dark period during which every institution was subverted and an atmosphere of fear was created".

अपनी खराब हालात को देखकर कांग्रेस को भी समझ आ गया था कि उन्हें एक ऐसे आवाज की जरूरत है जो उसकी बात आम जनता तक पहुंचा सके। इसके लिए उन्होंने किशोर कुमार से संपर्क किया। लेकिन किशोर कुमार ने कांग्रेस सरकार के हुक्म को ठुकरा दिया. इसके बाद किशोर को इंदिरा गांधी के कोपभाजन का शिकार बनना पड़ा. उनके गाने को दूरदर्शन में बैन कर दिया गया.
