Kerala’s anti-CAA resolution is only a 'request' to the Centre to withdraw the controversial Act

Kerala Assembly recently passed a resolution, seeking withdrawal of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). However, many people, including Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan had termed it “constitutionally invalid”. In fact, the Kerala government was only making a request to the Centre to repeal the Citizenship Act in the resolution.
