WALMART Manager: "Go, Get Out Of My Store" I Was Confronted When I Entered The Store Without A Mask... (By Tyler)
Effective July 17th, 2020, the Governor of Colorado, Jared Polis, issued an Executive Order requiring all Coloradans to wear a mask “over their nose and mouth when entering or moving within any public indoor space.” As a citizen of Colorado, I protest this order as un-Constitutional. Therefore, I decided to participate in The Patriot League’s Law Of The Land, Takin’ A Stand initiative, in order to remind our governing officials and communities that the U.S. Constitution is the law of the land and that it guarantees civil and religious liberties for every citizen. I wanted to take action so that Americans will know that restrictions upon their activities, business, mode of worship, personal hygiene (masks), etc... in the name of public health, are un-Constitutional. Unlike at the beginning of the COVID-19 scare, we now know that the death rate from this virus is very low and does not represent a public life-threatening emergency. I wanted to convey the message that if a governing official oversteps the limits of their power (limits placed upon them by the Constitution), they are acting against the law of the land. And further, I wanted to emphasize that as a citizen who seeks to be law-abiding, I must protest and in some cases disregard lawless, un-Constitutional orders because failing to do so would undermine the rule of law. Failing to protest in this way, I believe, would affirm the rule of tyrants who wish to be a law only unto themselves and unaccountable to the People of the United States. The irony is that upon entering into public office, these governing officials took an oath to defend and protect our Constitution. So, on July 23rd, 2020, I disregarded Governor Polis’ lawless, un-Constitutional order and entered a retail store in Brighton, Colorado without a face mask (Walmart at 7101 E 128th Ave, Brighton, CO 80602.) I was in the vestibule of the store for about 5 minutes. I was confronted by an employee who informed me I was required to put a mask on to be in the store. Using a previously established script, I explained to the employee that I would not put a mask on because it is my Constitutional right to decline to do so. During the conversation I was presented with the opportunity to discuss the importance of our Constitutional liberties with 3 employees. I entered the store with the intention of purchasing grocery items but was unsuccessful in doing so. When speaking with the manager on duty, it was disappointing to hear her say "No, I don't respect it", when I had said, "I ask that you respect my lawful right to make this choice.” I tried to explain my concerns to the manager but she said, "I'm not listening to it" & "it doesn't matter." Finally, after I agreed to leave, she said, "Go, get out of my store." https://www.thepatriotleague.org/featured
