Wildlife enthusiast and photographer Ewan Wilson had an adorable and rare encounter with a baby hedgehog snuffling around him while he was filming in Swansea.

The tiny mammal seems to have no fear of the photographer and his two friends as he wandered closer to the group on the evening of July 20.

Wilson commented: "The group stayed as still as possible, as not to frighten the little creature. The hedgehog enjoyed around 30 minutes with the group, sniffing all the way to the photographer's bag.

"As the evening set in the group left the little baby hedgehog to begin his long night of foraging. These animals are nocturnal, so to see him when there is any light at all was a fantastic treat."
