Gawad Kalinga Talay finally gets 10-meter wide concrete road

Residents of Gawad Kalinga in Barangay Talay, who for the last 15 years had no road-right-of-way, finally get a 10-meter concrete road that will ensure their safe and comfortable travels.

To recall, Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and former Junob Punong Barangay now Kagawad Isagani Bana successfully negotiated with the members of the Llosa family represented by Atty. Ruben Llosa and Bebs Pastor for the donation of their lots to serve as concrete farm-to-market road, which will ultimately link Barangays Talay and Cantil-e.

DAR allocated P 5 million for the road concreting project and the road network will be expanded up to Cantil-e using funds that can be taken from the City’s budget or from other sources.

Mayor Remollo was previously presented with the problem of road-right-of-way by the GK Village residents and Talay Barangay officials led by Punong Barangay Lilia Batalan.
