COVID-19 nationwide tally hits 74,390 cases

The Philippines’ coronavirus disease (COVID-19) case count hit the 74,000-mark on Thursday, July 23, the Department of Health (DOH) reported.

The DOH said that 2,200 more people caught the disease, boosting the nation’s case tally to 74,390. The number of people who are still receiving treatment is at 48,136.

The tally on recoveries currently stands at 24,383 after another 760 patients were successfully treated. The deaths related to COVID-19, however, increased by 28 to 1,871.
