Bihar floods: Nearly 5 lakh people affected after deluge whacks state amid Covid menace

Nearly half a million people in various districts of Bihar have been affected by the floods that has caused destruction across the northern parts of the state. According to media reports.

A total of 4.6 lakh people have been affected by floods deluge, which has displaced over 13,000 people in the state. The districts that have been affected due to deluge are Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Supaul, Kishanganj, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, East Champaran, West Champaran and Khagaria.

The worst is yet to come in Bihar as the state continues to witness surge in coronavirus cases. In the wake of rise in coronavirus cases, the Bihar government has imposed a lockdown and is likely to take similar measures to break the spread of rapidly rising coronavirus cases in the state.
