These goats produce spider silk

Spider silk is an incredibly strong material with potential applications that include lightweight bulletproof gear, seriously strong adhesives, and even replacement ligaments. The problem is that, as spiders are incredibly protective of their personal space, farming them is out of the question. Goats, on the other hand, can be rather agreeable, so scientists at Utah State University have genetically modified some to produce spider silk proteins in their milk.
