The petition on the questioning of the infamous historyheater Vikas Dubey encounter of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh was heard. The case is being heard by Chief Justice SA Bobde. During the hearing, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh government said that the encounter was right. However, it was said from the court that the state government is responsible for making law and order. In this case, the court has directed a committee headed by a retired judge of SC to conduct an inquiry.

उत्तर प्रदेश के कानपुर के कुख्यात हिस्ट्रीशीटर विकास दुबे एनकाउंटर पर सवाल उठाने वाली याचिका पर सुनवाई हुई. मामले की सुनवाई प्रधान न्यायाधीश एस ए बोबडे कर रहे है. सुनवाई के दौरान उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार की तरफ से सॉलिसिटर जनरल तुषार मेहता ने बताया कि मुठभेड़ सही थी. हालांकि, कोर्ट की तरफ से ये कहा गया कि राज्य सरकार कानून व्यवस्था बनाने के लिए जिम्मेदार है. इस मामले में कोर्ट ने SC के रिटायर्ड जज की अध्यक्षता वाली समिति से जांच कराने के निर्देश दिए हैं
