Residents of San Sebastian in the Basque Country have hit the beach where a regional ruling has made protective masks compulsory.

Footage from La Zurriola beach on July 17 shows hundreds of beachgoers wearing their masks.

Masks are only allowed to be removed when eating, drinking and swimming in pools or the sea, otherwise, a 100 euro fine could be issued.
