Python caught in 30ft factory ceiling where it had eaten two pigeons

Animal rescuers had to climb a 30ft high ladder to catch a snake hiding in a factory ceiling - which then regurgitated two pigeons.

A security guard heard a strange noise from inside the roof while he was patrolling the factory in Ang Thong, central Thailand on Wednesday (15/07) afternoon.

He then climbed up to check as he worried there might be a robber but was shocked after he found a snake coiling in the shadows instead.

The rescue team went to the factory after the guard called them for help in catching the wild animal.

Footage shows the rescuers climbing up the tall ladder to grab the big python from the ceiling before carefully bringing it down.

The giant snake regurgitated two pigeons when it was brought down to the factory floor.

Rescuer Sakhon Saengthong, 37, said he was baffled about how the snake ended up 30ft above the ground but believed it slithered through the rain pipe.

He said: "The python was probably trying to escape the rain and find a dry place to stay. There are lots of rats and birds up there, so it would have had a nice time snacking on those.''

The snake was put on a sack and was taken to the forest where it was released.
