China said Friday the Galwan Valley clash was a “situation that neither China nor India would like to see”, and that frontline troops on both sides “are currently disengaging”. He also said the two sides should be “partners than rivals”. Chinese Ambassador Sun Weidong, in his first address since the deadly 15 June clash at the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh, said: “Currently our frontline troops are disengaging on the ground in accordance with the consensus by the military corps commander talks.”

लद्धाख में सीमा पर भारत के लगातार कड़े रुख के बाद चीन के सुर अब नरम होने लगे हैं. कल तक धमकी देने वाला चीन अब पुरानी दोस्ती और शांति की बात करने लगा है. चीन के राजदूत सन विडोंग ने एक वीडियो जारी कर कहा है कि भारत और चीन को आपसी सहयोग के ऐसे कदम उठाने चाहिए, जिनसे दोनों का फायदा हो, न कि ऐसे काम करें जिनसे दोनों को नुकसान भुगतना पड़े। विडोंग ने एक बयान जारी कर सीमा विवाद को शांतिपूर्ण बातचीत के जरिए ऐसा समाधान ढूंढना चाहिए, जो दोनों पक्षों को स्वीकार हो। चीनी राजदूत ने कहा कि अतीत से चला आ रहा सीमा विवाद एक संवेदनशील और पेचीदा मुद्दा है। हमें एक दूसरे से परामर्श कर और शांतिपूर्ण बातचीत के जरिए उचित और तार्किक समाधान खोजने की आवश्यकता है, जो दोनों पक्षों को स्वीकार हो।
