There is relief news for the world fighting the corona virus. Scientists at Oxford University have come very close to making the vaccine. The British Swedish pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca claims the vaccine results are so encouraging that they have even started production. In Pune too, a vaccine will be made for one billion people, which will be sent to the poor countries of the world.
The company's CEO Pascal Sorriot said on Friday that we hope the end result of the vaccine will also improve. That's why we are making more and more vaccines so that we can reach them as soon as possible after the final test. Probably all vaccine trials will be done by August, so we should have enough vaccine in September.
Pascal Soriot said that he would soon enter into an agreement with Pune-based Serum Institute to supply the vaccine. Together, the two companies will deliver one billion Corona vaccines to low-income countries, including India. Out of this, a target has been set to supply 400 million vaccines by the end of 2020. AstraZeneca is going to enter into an agreement with two more companies, Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovation, Gavi the Vaccine Alliance, to purchase and distribute 300 million vaccines.
Leading vaccine manufacturing: More than 100 institutes in the world are trying to make corona vaccine, but Oxford University is at the forefront. Scientists tested the vaccine on 100 people in April in the first phase, which was successful. Now the second and third phase trials have been started on 10,000 adults.
