Indonesian officials release critically endangered orangutan back into wild

Indonesian officials released a critically endangered Sumatran orangutan back into the wild on July 7.

Footage filmed in Gunung Leuser National Park shows the primate being transported via cage and boat to a safe place in the park for it to be released.

The Sumatran orangutan is listed as "critically endangered" by The International Union for Conservation of Nature.
